Roosters Ogden

In 1995, Kym and Pete Buttschardt opened the first Roosters Brewing Company on Historic 25th Street in Downtown Ogden. The 119-year-old building (constructed in 1890) originally housed everything from Chinese laundries to House of Ill Repute in the early 1900's. The restored building, with a unique ambiance and outdoor patio made the 25th Street location a perfect place for meeting and mingling with friends. Roosters quickly became THE PLACE TO GO and a community "gathering spot" for Ogden's diverse and eclectic population. It's not unusual to see mud-splattered mountain bikers enjoying burgers and brews at one table while more formally dressed couples enjoy herb-crusted rack of lamb and fine wine at another.

Roosters Layton

In late summer 2005, Pete, Kym and the Roosters' fabulous crew introduced their vibe to Layton. From geographical, philosophical and culinary perspectives, the new location is just off what locals call "Restaurant Row." Roosters is Davis County's first and only micro brewery and boasts what is arguably the city's most unique menu.

Pete, the chef and owner, serves an exciting assortment of flavorful pizzas, pastas and delicious entrees and appetizers. And daily specials highlight Pete's creative side. Roosters, of course, offers full liquor service to satisfy every taste. Roosters Brewmaster Steve Kirkland creates and brews more than 26 unique beers including such originals as Two-Bit Amber, Bees Knees Honey Wheat and our well-known Polygamy Pale Ale. Also try our homemade Orange Cream Soda or Roosters Root Beer. Our beer is featured at such Salt Lake hotspots as Brewvies, The Porcupine Grill, The Bayou, Fiddlers Elbow, Beer Hive, Wing Nutz and the Huka Bar.

As we move forward, our history will continue. We hope you'll be a part of it!
